The Bahookie is our do-it-all mountain bike with a hand-built Reynolds 631 steel frame designed around 29er or 650B+ wheels and a 120mm travel fork. Perfect for bikepacking, adventure racing, bashing round local trails or heading out for a long day in the hills.

The Bahookie Rohloff takes this simple approach and adds to it with a reliable and bomb-proof transmission system from Rohloff and lightweight rigid carbon fork. With 14 gears and Gates Carbon Beltdrive, maintenance is minimal and lubrication after each ride is a thing of the past. Gear shifting is operated from a twist shifter on the bars and shifting can even be done while stationary. Belt tension is provided by an EBB (eccentric bottom bracket) that fits into a standard 73mm PF30 bottom bracket shell and the belt is fitted by way of a discrete frame splitter in the rear dropout.

As with the majority of Shand bikes, modular cable routing and rear dropouts can be changed to be compatible with single speed or derailleur drivetrains at a later date. If you’re ordering a frame only, the modular rear dropouts are available with the following transmission and disc brake options.
